I was born and raised in the Atlanta suburbs. :) Buckhead’s restaurant scene is top notch, and shopping’s not bad either- but the nightlife is so-so and Buckhead/Atlanta is definitely overrated in general. I’m surprised it registers on peoples’ radars (people other than Georgians, that is)- might appear glitzy on the surface, but will never quite have the culture, spirit, and character of cities like San Fransisco or New York, or the incredible innovative music scene of Miami.

Btw, I read your blog from time to time, but this is my first time commenting. This list of 8 is a fun idea…I’m surprised, though, that a house in East Hampton or anything on Long Island didn’t make the cut! Or a mansion in West Palm Beach! A condo on the Upper East Side, however, I can agree with. :)
