The transphobia on that blog is sad and awful, by the way. But it is a problem in radical feminist communities and I think that we can’t sweep it under the rug and pretend like it’s not there. It’s one of the main reasons i don’t call myself a ‘radical feminist’ anymore, and this shit is not confined to the internet either.

Looks like they misread your original post, girl. You wrote about how relationships, with *anyone* cause pain, they decided to read it as “don’t give a shit if men will hurt you, that’s just life.”

My most worst relationship to date wasn’t with any man, it was with the aunt I partially grew up with, as you know, and even getting raped later in life didn’t compare to those beatings or what that woman did to my self-esteem. So I’m not even gonna play that game.

Thanks for the chance to re-read the Lolita review. I think this was one of the most important and beautiful things that anyone has written about that book in the last 20 years, at least. It’ll sail right over Factcheckme’s head, but like you said, that wouldn’t be surprising, girl.
