“I’m so tired,
I haven’t slept a wink
I’m so tired,
My mind is on the brink.
I wonder, should I get up
And fix myself a drink,
But no no no…”
– ze Beatles.
This thing I’m going through right now just really needs to be over. I need to hit fast-forward, or hibernate, or create a dopplegaenger to do the job for me. Anything, Lord, anything.
Do you get writers’ block in both English and Russian? Or just in English? Maybe you could break the curse by rewriting a well known short story or fairy tale to the tune of your own writing style?
Oh, writer’s block is, like, #2,347 on my list of problems, but thanks! 😉 And yes, I get blocked in both languages, although my writing in English always has more fluidity.
Here’s another idea to break the writer’s block – try rewriting the stuff that you have already written. Its like rebooting a computer. 🙂
You’re right, hun. But, like I said, writer’s block is taking a backseat to more pressing matters – so I’m stuck in more ways than one. 😦
