Sallie Mae is playing mind-games with me, and I am tired. First they say they’ve “denied” my forbearance after I press them on the subject (they didn’t even tell me that it was denied, I found out all on my own, oh, clever, resourceful little me), now they’re saying that they had no idea why it was denied and are “sorry” and are trying to “remedy the situation,” and meanwhile, I have heard nothing back concerning consolidation, and am terrified, terrified, terrified. The debt is huge, and I’m so small.
There was much wailing and lamentation today at the office.
This is the second time my boss has seen me cry in the space of two months, which is embarrassing.
Am self-medicating with Yuengling and Return of the King, and the fact that I am, according to some, loved.
So did the Yuengling and LOTR begin at work or did you wait til you got home? Share the beer and the boss might not mind. 😉
And obviously resourceful. Hang in there.
Strange, I’ve been having big problems at work as well. I’m telling the boss on Monday that I want to work a 9 day fortnight. You cried in your workplace. I took 3 sick days in less than a week.
A friend of mine cried many times in her workplace – she was being bullied at work. A better person than her I am yet to meet.
You’re a writer. Work is just a means of paying the bills. Don’t let it cripple who you are. Peace of mind is better.
Oh, I totally waited until I got home. Both of my bosses are great – probably the most wonderful human beings I’m ever going to work for – but they like rules.
Yeah, I’m a writer… But I’ve accomplished very little so far. I have a lot of work ahead of me in general – and a giant debt doesn’t help.
But I’m trying.
I expect there will be a lot more whining on this blog in the weeks to come, so everyone ought to brace themselves.

Hi. If you’re having problems setting up your account – you should contact the administrators, oottii, hussein, imran, etc. What’s the username you registered? I can let them know.
As for Dubai, thanks for the offer. It’s still unclear – whether or not it’s a real option, but it’s certainly on the horizon, so I appreciate all the advice I can get.
What do you like about Sharjah? What do you dislike?
well in sharjah the getting an appartment is cheaper in dubai but more expensive then ajman and fujaira and other emirates. there is a dress code for both men and women to not wear short stuff(anything above the ankle) but im not sure if it is enforced, i see women wearing short skirts and cuts.i guess you can come across a few annoying police to just give tell you about the law. but cant tell for sure. dubai is more lax with all sorts of people. as for relationships i know people who go out with thier boyfriends and kissing (not in so public places)can be overlooked by the police espacially if you do not look arab. well i have to go know. i hope this helps a little, if you want to know more please ask .i cannot give you a lot of information since im emarati and the way i live is different then yours so rules that apply to me doesnt nessarily apply to you.
sorry for the grammatical mistakes
