Joe Hormes “On the Issues.”
It’s the latest in both our humor and election 08 sections.
There’s nothing quite like publishing these after getting back to reality after a particularly raucous wedding. This has been one of my “lost weekends” and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Indeed hahaha the brouhaha is enjoyable.
Why not make fun of Joe Biden, who thinks FDR was President in 1929, and thinks paying more taxes is patriotic?
Why not question that the moderator, Gwen Ifill, of the upcoming Biden-Palin debate is pro-Obama. She wrote a book that praises Obama, obviously she will try her best to make Palin look bad in the debate Why couldn’t the moderator be more fair and bi-partisan?
Uh, Love? Did you read the linked piece? Like, at all?
I have to be honest; not a fan of Hormes’ piece. I’ve enjoyed other stuff he’s written, like his review of Juno, but this struck me as one of those times when a writer tries to be ‘above it all’ politically. It tries to draw equivalencies between positions that simply aren’t equivalent; it’s stupid to pretend that global warming isn’t happening, it’s not just as stupid to point out that it is. Also, I like The Streets.
