I’m going strictly eighties, and not necessarily good eighties (those are probably in my Post-Punk or New Wave genres). A theory I hashed out is that anything you listened to non-stop from ages 9-13 will remain subjectively listenable for all time, even though objectively speaking it’s crap. For me (1982-1986), it was a lot of top 40 radio and the dawn of MTV, when music videos by even unattractive people were being played non-stop.
