Monday Music: The Cream of Devonshire Edition

I am exhausted from the coolness that was heaped upon me in the last week. I am in thrall to the peculiarities of life and the importance of having friends who know just what kind of beer to order at a crucially emotional moment. Until I am able to sufficiently recover while in London, here some (hopefully appropriate) music:

All These Things – Kuniyuki Takahashi
Once Again – Girl Talk
Ptashka (Little Bird) – Okean Elzy
All Alright – Sigur Ros
A Whiter Shade of Pale – Annie Lennox
Lapland – Ratatat
Golden Slumbers – The Beatles
Mazurka – Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Under My Wing – Brainstorm
When You Were Mine – Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele

Rock on.

In honour of my visit to the birthplace of the Beatles, Liverpool, here is “Hey Jude” (a song that is very much needed in this hour of swine flu uncertainty and the last of the bank holiday hangovers):

When I was a wee little girl, I once made a total fool singing along to this one in a parking lot – without realizing that a small crowd had gathered outside my parents’ minivan. Well, it was really like two people, but still. I like to think they were getting misty-eyed seeing an 11-year-old belt out the McCartney lyrics of their generation.
