From the NSCU 2006 Short Story contest, saying that my entry made it to the semi-finals (top 20%, reminding me of the MCATs, or something). Perhaps they say that to everyone that entered, but I had to grin at the news anyway, particularly as they came at the end of this horrible, horrible day.
